OUTDOOR HANDFASTING WEDDING AT ORMESBY HALL – CRAIG AND SAM

OUTDOOR HANDFASTING WEDDING AT ORMESBY HALL – CRAIG AND SAM

“YOU WERE GREAT AT THE WEDDING AND WE COULDN’T HAVE ASKED FOR A MORE PERFECT PHOTOGRAPHER. EVERYONE I HAVE SHOWN THE PHOTOS TO HAS JUST SAID HOW BRILLIANT THEY ARE.” – CRAIG AND SAM

Craig and Sam got married in June at the gorgeous Ormesby Hall, which is a stunning National Trust House in Middlesbrough. It was such a happy day and even the rain didn’t dampen the day!

The outdoor ceremony

The ceremony was a humanist service in the grounds of the venue. out in the gardens, and the guests sat on wooden chairs dressed with white sashes, ivy and white roses. During the ceremony they read their own vows. It was such a personal service and so unique. On the day, there had been a weather warning for rain, but Sam and Craig were blessed with dry weather until part way through the ceremony when it started to drizzle slightly, but that didn’t bother Sam, she had come prepared with an umbrella! We even had time for a fun confetti shot and a scrummy crepe pancake before it started raining properly!

After the ceremony

The reception was in a marquee at the venue. They chose Ormesby Hall because it’s near their home and they just fell in love with it. It was a hand fasting wedding, which was so meaningful. I love shooting Ormesby Hall weddings because it’s always so relaxed. The option of an outdoor ceremony is really special, and the marquee and grounds are amazing.

They had a acoustic live music and a quirky crepe van serving pancakes to guests in the afternoon, and a live band in the evening. It was such a fun vibe dancing out on the lawn to the acoustic band. They decorated the venue with flowers and tealights, because it worked so well with the time of year.

For dinner they served tasty barbecued meats with sides, which was loved by all the guests. The first dance involved the wedding party getting on the dancefloor to get the dancing going, and they finished off the evening with Jagerbombs all round.

The most fun part of the day was dancing to the band out on the lawn, because it made everyone laugh. They also had a handfasting during the ceremony – it was so personal!

The couple

The couple says that if you’re planning your wedding, the biggest piece of advice they could give you is to “…choose suppliers that you trust and get on with is important, if you trust that they are going to make your wedding amazing it takes the stress away from yourself. I would also say last minute don’t stress about the little things that haven’t quite gone how you wanted, none of the guests will notice!!”   Craig and Sam’s wedding was everything I love about weddings and had such a fun atmosphere. Here’s their Ormesby Hall wedding!

RELAXED SPRING WEDDING AT ACKLAM HALL IN MIDDLESBROUGH – RACHAEL AND GRAEME

RELAXED SPRING WEDDING AT ACKLAM HALL IN MIDDLESBROUGH – RACHAEL AND GRAEME

IF YOU LOVE DOGS WEARING BOW TIES AND CHINA TEA CUPS THEN YOU’LL LOVE THIS SPRING WEDDING!

Rachael and Graeme got married at the lovely Acklam Hall, Middlesbrough, on May 19th, the same day as the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. It was a wonderful relaxed wedding, with china tea cups on the tables and pretty pastel pinks as the colour scheme.

Getting ready

Rachael got ready at her parents house in Tollesby, Middlesbrough with her bridesmaids, and there was such a happy vibe. Lots of excited tears from everyone! She wore a gorgeous dress from Butterflies in Thornaby, and looked so stunning. She then hopped into a fancy wedding car to get to the ceremony.

Graeme got ready at his parents house in Marton, Middlesbrough, with his little dog all dressed up for the occasion wearing a smart bow tie! Graeme wore a dapper suit, and looked really handsome. He travelled to the ceremony with his Best Man.

The ceremony

The ceremony took place in St Cuthberts their local church in Marton. The ceremony area was inside the tiny Church, which was so perfect, because it made it so cosy. The ceremony began with everyone singing their favourite song, and finished with a sweeping first kiss. It was a beautiful ceremony, full of excited hand squeezes and nervous giggles.

After the ceremony, we travelled to the reception, which was really chilled out. Then the couple mingled with their guests, which was the perfect time for me to get candid photos. I got some lovely guest photos as they enjoyed the afternoon – After that we snook off to get some lovely couples portraits. The weather was all sunshine and blue skies, it was a beautiful day.

The reception

Rachael and Graeme chose to have their wedding at Acklam Hall because it’s near their home, and it’s so cosy and relaxed. Acklam Hall is an old former school, and it’s got such a romantic vibe, especially at sunset when the golden sun is glowing.

The party

After dinner, guests played in the photobooth, and the evening got started. The live band played all the best songs to get everyone dancing.

I loved this Acklam Hall Wedding wedding so much. If you’re getting married and looking for a relaxed wedding photographer, get in touch. Here are the photos!
